do you mean shileighly or shilleaghly, its actually a club to hit people with, but I suppose u can use it as a walking stick.

Without doubt - a blackthorn. It is like an ordinary walking stick but the 'thorns' of the blackthorn are cut about a quarter of an inch from the main stem. When you hit someone with it, it gives a jagged cut. If they grab it with their hand, you pull on it and tear the flesh on the hand. Gruesome - but noone I have ever known has used one as an offensive weapon, but the story that goes with it is quite good............ Slan leat.........
