The previous answers have covered the Chicago food pretty well.
For the indianapolis food and drink I would have to say Beer in a Can, definitly. Indy is a Nascaar city so definitly beer in a can maybe with one of those snuggle things to keep the can cold too.

Chicago- You HAVE to have an authentic Chicago style Italian Beef sandwich with lots of brodo (gravy) and gardnieri.
