I also think they should have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. I don't think two non-vets can legally carry Sodium Pentobarbital around and that stuff's popular with the drug crowd.

Personally, any cruelty convictions would delight me. How can they claim that they were just ensuring that animals are humanely euthanized after picking kittens up from a vet's office? They think they're better than the vet?

I also think that since the defense is saying they were ordered to do it, the organization should be held liable.

I always knew Peta was run by a bunch of evil, sadistic, crazy activists. Ingrid Newkirk who runs it is about a cruel a human as anyone can imagine.

Peta is run by sick people who should get the max sentence for their torture and abuse of animals.

I'm not sure the maximum sentence is enough. Maybe they should be tortured to know what it's like to feel what those poor innocent cute puppies had to go through.

I love animals and it really hurts to see this kind of treatment. I couldn't even look at the pictures on the internet.

The PETA bunny-huggers are the most brain-dead facetiously hypocritical two-faced liars that ever qualified for "tax-exempt charity" status.
Not only have they been caught red-handed in (their OWN words) murdering animals, but also, refusing to lift a finger, publicly or financially, allowed thousands of cattle, deer, elk, and other animals to literally STARVE TO DEATH during the recent snowstorms in the Rocky Mountain States.
Rather than take up space with a long answer here, go to http://www.consumerfreedom.com/news_detail.cfm/headline/3212 and read IN DETAIL the bald-faced hypocrisy of these brain-dead, bleeding-heart idiots!
The worst sentence they could possibly get, in my opinion, would be to force the Feds to revoke their ""tax-exempt" status & make 'em pay back taxes on the MILLIONS they're sittin' on!!!!!!

I love animals and believe they need to be protected, but I do not support the craziness that is PETA! They are a hypocritical organization that are way to extreme in their views. They don't want us even owning dogs and cats! It would be a cruel world if I set free my little 10 pound Llasa Apso so she could be wild and free and fend for herself. About your question, I agree with you. They should get the maximum sentence.

They should definitely be punished for cruelty to animals, so whatever the maximum sentence is for that, and they should be charged for each individual animal they killed. I imagine that's just a misdemeanor, but they can make it a felony, in this case.

Sounds fair to me, the max that is. Gotta love hypocrisy.

They should be flogged and have their non-profit status revoked and be thoroughly investigated. They are typical liberal tripe.
