Im just going to answer this question simply, yes god is great!!!!

Jehovah is not considered good to our current ethics. There are literally several instances where God has been a mass murderer. People will justify this as he is the Big guy so he gets to do what he wants. Regardless if he is in charge or not.. Mass killing is not a good guy quality. Someone with unlimited power should be able to find alternate ways of solving a problem rather than murder.

G-d must have an origin. It might be the origin that human mind cannot comprehend, but still... And yes - G-d is good. However G-d also created evil. Only in fight between good and evil progress is made - I am speaking of progress in human soul...
If there was no evil - life would be a boring thing to get thru.

We define "good" in human terms, so how can anyone apply that same earthly state to a supreme being who created the universe. Good and evil at basic levels are one and the same, only our own human morals draw the line in-between.
