Usually, after a person wears glasses for a while, they develop a mark or indentation where the nose piece was. Are these marks permanent? How do you get rid of them?

No, I wore glasses every since I was in third grade, I am now 27 and i'm wearing contacts. It doesn't leave any mark. I still wear my glasses at night before I go to sleep though. Just make sure it's not too tight and rubbing the bridge of your nose too much.

Depending on how long you wore glasses and how heavy they are/were will determine how long the marks stay. I have been wearing glasses for 3 years and don't have any marks and never had, but I use titanium frames. Its like people that wear a ring for a very long time, they get marks on their fingers but it eventually goes back to normal.

The only way to get rid of them is to stop wearing your glasses & wash your face. I wear glasses for the majority of my week & then switch to contacts for weekend wear & usually I still have the indents for a day after I switch to my contacts. The only way I've found to fix it is time, sorry :(

After I wear my sunglasses even for about ten minutes I get a red mark on the top right hand side of my nose. I have decided that I don't really care about it because within just a few minutes it goes away. I try not to be self conscious over such a silly thing.

i have been wearing glasses for like 4 years and when i get that feeling i just rub myself there and no its not permanent it's just temporary. I only wear my glasses during school hours so i don't know how long you wear them. But it will all be fine.

no they are not permanent. they are marks from the pressure you put on your glasses when your wearing them. when you take your glasses off, just massage the mark for a little bit. and keeps your glasses off so it fully goes. away.

I wore glasses for 5 years, and have worn contacts since then. I never had any marks that lasted over a day. All I did was put on lotion and wait!

they arent permanent. its the same as if you sleep in a weird way and wake up with odd marks on you. Or if you wear goggles in the pool then have a mark when you take them off. they should definitly fade within the hour

My Aunt had the same problem but when she switched to contacts they seemed to disappear after a little while. I think that you should try to take your glasses off whenever possible. BE CAREFUL! I don't think it would be a great idea to walk into a wall.

like everyone else said... their not permanent. if you just take off your glasses for a day or two, it will be fine. don't worry... if that doesn't work, they will eventually go away. or maybe you might want to get bigger glasses.

Good Luck
