No. Actually if you have a 2liter bottle of a fizzy drink, you really should leave it OUT of the fridge. It keeps its fizz longer!

I prefer my beverages at room temperature, and 90% of the time, I don't refrigerate.

BUT, you must also read the label. Drinks that will spoil fairly quickly at room temp are marked "Refrigerate After Opening." I always watch for that alert on the label to make sure I'm not growing a science project in the juice. hehe

Soda doesn't need to be refrigerated after opening, but most people think it tastes better when chilled, and the chilling slows the loss of carbonation.

From my experiences, carbonated sodas will stay fresh, as long as they have a cap on tight. Water will be fine too, without refrigeration. Refrigeration will help it stay fresher longer, but it's not a must, as long as it's consumed within a matter of days.

No. Soda does NOT need to be refrigerated. To me, it tastes better cold, but some people don't like it that cold. It's up to you.

If you lay it down on its side in the fridge, as you do wine then it wont lose its fizz as quick.
