"Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS." (Matthew 1:24-25)

Mary the none virgin had 7 children all togeither. Jesus was the firsr born the rest are in the bible.

"Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother." (Galatians 1:18-19)

Jesus quoted Psalm 69 twice in reference to himself (John 2: 16-17 and John 15:25). This establishes the fact that Psalm 69 is a Messianic Psalm, or a Psalm that applies to the Messiah, or Christ. Further, Jesus attributes a literal meaning to Psalm 69, not a metaphorical one. Let's see what Psalm 69 says of Jesus, His mother, and other family members:

Jusus confirmed he has brother and sister in John 2: 16-17 and John 15:25 which refer to Psalm 69.
Is lieing a sin?

Catholic sure to not enjoy the truth.

The bible auctually has on scripture that names the 4 brother of Jesus and he know he has at least 2 sisters. And the old testiment verifies that he had then and that they had the mother MARY. So much for the catholic lies.

Lies are like that they get exposed by God himself his light is in his word and it shine on the lies of a age.

So the question should be why are the prist and the pope lieing to people?

So if good old Mary is a rocken and rollen like most wives with her husband Joseph i quess she is not a co-worker in redemption at all is she and i guess she is a normal person and a blessed wife and all around a normal human being. Mary was a sinner like us all and a blessed one to. God bless good people with lots of chirldren. And sex between a d husband and a wife is holy and the fruit is holy.

But Mary is not divine she is a normal human.

The church would agree with the word of God unless it was not of GOd.

The whole perpetual virgin thing is nothing but religious dogma with no basis in reality.

The Catholic Church believes Mary was a perpetual virgin and had no other child than Jesus.

In oriental countries, still nowadays, "brother" has a larger meaning than in English : cousin, relative, distant family, friend, etc. Jesus was born in an oriental country.

The Catholic Church believes that when James is referred to as Jesus' "brother" in the Bible, it means cousin or relative. James could also be a son from Joseph from a previous mariage, or an adopted son. However, due to the passage in John 19, James is most probably only a relative or friend of Jesus :

John 19, 25-27
"Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala.
When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son."
Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home."

If Mary had had other childrens, there would have been no need for Jesus to entrust Mary to John. Another child of Mary would have taken care of Mary after the death of Jesus. If Jesus said that, it most probably was because Mary had no other child. Jesus is Mary's only child. Mary was a perpetual virgin.

Catholics don't believe that Mary is divine.

As for the rest of it, I think there might be some old teaching that states that Mary was perpetually virgin. It argues that the use of the words "brothers" and "sisters" in the original language and culture does not automatically indicate a blood relationship.

As for me, I don't see how Mary would have stayed a virgin. She was married - c'mon, let's be realistic. And even more important - does it really matter?? Jesus is the Savior, not Mary. Jesus is God, not Mary.

James was Jesus brother, and was one of the apostles. Jesus also had sisters. Jesus became "famous" because he was the one born without a human father. If Mary was a perpetual virgin, then James and all of Jesus' other siblings would also be the "Messiah".

She wasn't a virgin at all. The word "virgin" arises from a mis-translation of a Greek word that actually means unmarried woman. The notion that any verse of the bible "establishes" anything is silly; the book contains hundreds of errors, as well as dozens of internal contradictions, so no part of it can be relied on.

Mary did indeed have children after giving birth to the Messiah, who lied? I am not aware of the bible anywhere calling her a perpetual virgin.

Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary, so technically his brothers and sisters were half brothers and sisters.

The Catholics have a whole dogma around Mary being a virgin forever. However, I believe Jesus was not of a virgin birth, even though I am one of His followers. And doesn't that seem like MORE of miracle to you, that WE can make that happen?
