Jesus Christ is God's only begotten son and they are one and have the same mind. He was crucified for the world's sin.

If you want to think of it as suicide, I guess you could in a way. But sacrifice means to dedicate something as Holy to God - look up the etymology of the word "sacrifice." Christ dedicated His life and death to God, that is to himself, but also to God the Father. He says repeatedly that He is doing His Father's will. That's why a "oneness" doctrine doesn't make any sense - if Jesus were the Father, there would be no sacrifice. Only if Jesus were distinct from the Father would it make any sense.

He was not sacrificed to but He was sacrificed for our sins. God the Father was in heaven. The Lord Jesus Christ had to come to earth as a man so He could die for our sins. The Holy Spirit fell on Him. Matthew 3: 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: Matthew 3: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

No.You are wrong.Sacrifice is a word which today has new meanings , besides the old meaning .The new meaning , is ...I give an example given by a dancer ...that you give your food to a begger , meaning you sacrifice..of course , if you are rich , this is too little to be a sacrifice ...So if we reffer to Jesus , His sacrifice means the following: He was the eternal Son of God , and He was also a God from eternity because He was the Son of God from eternity ..Jesus , God The Father , and God The Holly Spirit , decided that Jesus , the Son of God and also a god as power and condition of Beinf - go on the earth and tell the people what to do , tell the people again about God , about life in Heaven , again about love (the prophets to whom God has talked , also told about all of these). But Even the Son of God coming , people belived stronger and cleaned their lives...But Jesus knew , God The Father and The Holly Spirit knew that if Jesus comes on the earth ....the people will kill him , listening to satan . The fact that Jesus and actualy The Holly Trinity knew from mileniums before Jesus arrival on the Earth that Jesus will be killed -....it is called -SACRIFICE- .You can find a lot of modern situations an see that SACRIFICE means knowing before that you are going to loose something while doing what you want to do ,in order to obtain something important. So Jesus knew that in order to determine people to live their lives the way God wants , and make them come to Heaven , He must loose His life for a while ,by coming on the Earth to teach them and being killed by the people from the Earth , who were listening to satan...This doesn't mean that Jesus comited suicide...it means that people who didn't love God dared to kill Him....people killed Him, because they listened to satan...some of them who did...

Jesus was wrapped up in a certain vocation to be God's representative to Israel to show Israel what it means to be the true Israel. In 1st century Judaism, it would not be odd (or seen as a case of suicide) for someone to be so wrapped up in a vocation that he would lose his life for it. Jesus was not on a suicide mission, but he understood that, by showing Israel that the way they were being was not the correct way of being God's true representatives to the world and standing up to the religious leaders of the day, could lead to the powers that be (religious leaders) to end his message by execution. No one would say that Martin Luther King, Jr. was on a suicide mission, even if he knew that what he was saying about social injustice could lead to his death.

Jesus Christ isn't God and he wasn't sacrificed. He was crucified which might be what you're thinking. He died to save us.

Understand this plz:

Sacrifices were to be made to God for the atonement of sins.

God the Father sacrificed his son, Jesus, for the atonement of everyone's sins.

So, we do not have to slaughter lambs, goats and birds and stuff for the atonement.

All one has to do is accept the gift of the atonement made possible by Jesus' death - that is why he is referred to as "The Lamb of God".

Neither. Jesus was not sacrificed TO God. Jesus was sacrficed FOR us. Its not easy to explain, but when man sinned a huge gulf seperated man and God. To do things justly a subsitute had to be found or we would be punished. It was not God persay who needed to be placated but we needed a cure to remit our sin. Someone who could take the price of sin who had no sin himself.
Its more like a case of some one dying for his own murder.
Like when we tell our children or a loved one when the get hurt, "I wish I could take that bloody knee, broken arm, or cancer for you."
Well thats what God did. He said, "I'll take that sin for you ." and he took it on the cross.

Jesus is ......The only-begotten Son of God, the only Son produced by Jehovah alone. This Son is the firstborn of all creation. By means of him all other things in heaven and on earth were created. He is the second-greatest personage in the universe. It is this Son whom Jehovah sent to the earth to give his life as a ransom for mankind, thus opening the way to eternal life for those of Adam’s offspring who would exercise faith. This same Son, restored to heavenly glory, now rules as King, with authority to destroy all the wicked and to carry out his Father’s original purpose for the earth. The Hebrew form of the name Jesus means “Jehovah Is Salvation”; Christ is the equivalent of the Hebrew Ma‧shi′ach (Messiah), meaning “Anointed One.”
