we bought a house on land that has got this really beat up 140 year old barn that is in bad shape. If a tornado came through it would be gone in a second. It only has one silo, and It would give us so much more room just to tear it down. How much would that cost and do you know who tears down barns, would it be the same as housebuilders who tear it down?

Barn dismantling can be costly but not too high, BUT! first check around to see if anyone will do the work for a trade of the rare timbers that make up that piece of history!!! There is a big demand for barn wood, big enough you may be able to make some real money selling it. Re-milled timbers from barns are extremely valuable. It cost me $2,000 bucks for a 30' beam from a barn in Salt Lake 7 years ago. Research before you destroy a gold mine. Try ..........oldgrowthtimbers.com and timelessmaterials.com

That should cost you about four sticks of dynamite. About $200 for the powder monkey and maybe $2,000 for the front-end loader and dump truck.
