I need to chose a Saints name for me to be confirmed. Please help me out in picking a saints name.

Thanks for all your answers. I'm a female. I tried chosing the saint for my bday, but it's a male saint. i don't think i can use that.

I chose my sponsor's name. Anne. It honnored the saint and my sponsor for doing this for me.
Actually it was her middle name and I changed the spelling a bit. If your sponsor does not have a saint's name you might consider her/his confirmation name.

You should pick one that has some sort of meaning to it. Try something original as well.
You can go to this site & look at the names of the saints :

or, you can also choose your name based on whatever saint's feast is celebrated on your birthday

or, if you have a favorite hobby or whatever, you can choose it by whomever the patron saint is of it

You will notice that the majority of boys will choose either Anthony or Michael & the girls will choose Mary. It's best to have something that you can relate to & have a reason for choosing it.

Go to the library or on-line and find Catholic Saints, and pick out a name out of the thousands that are listed.

Check here www.catholic.org/saints for the various saint names. I picked mine, Rita because it was on my parents' anniversary, May22nd... but other friends picked because of thier ethnic background like Bridget if they were Irish. Sometimes you can even pick your middle name if it suits you too. My guy took Jude, then we found out our Confirmation saints are both patrons of the impossible that suits us both ;-)

Well what saint do you pray to. For me I love the Franciscans and St.Francis, St.Anthony, St.Claire. They are role models in my life. There are so many great saints, i'm sure you will find one. Pray to Jesus, he will help you. God Bless!

Pick one that has to do with an interest or hobby or one who embodies a trait you want to possess.
I picked Joan (of Arc) for her leadership and heroic nature.
