the word son in the Bible does not mean son as we understand today, the word son in the Bible means "an honor servent to God", Jesus is one of them which happend to born by a miracle for a sign to the childrean of Israel who were too stubborn to believe.

The term "Son of God" or even "First born" is a term of likeness.
In ancient cultures the son was often the successor to the father's business life etc. The son of the family was considered an extension or representative of the father.
So Jesus is claiming to be a representative or an extension of God on earth. Jesus willing lowered himself in order to be so, and I think to be an example to those who would follow him.

You are so right! Jesus is as much son of God as every other human is child of God. In other words, Jesus wasn't a God, or we all are gods then. The word 'son' means nothign more than a 'special creature' of God.

i also want to add that Adam has no father or mother, he should be the first one to be called son of God, but instead he is just a human being. also Moses stick when it turns to snake, that snake had no mother or father. and so is Jesus is a human being born in a miracle by the word of God. when God wants something he says be and it will be.
