My boyfriend is currently in prison and he writes in his letters that he wants to have phone sex/talk dirty sometime with me. I always thought prisons don't allow this since they listen in on your calls. Does anybody know the general rules for prisons around the country on this subject?

To be honest with you they don't listen to the calls, but all calls are recorded for use in investigations.
Let's see. If there are 1,000 inmates in a facility and only about 40 officers working at any given time. Just how much time do you think they will devote to listening to the whole conversation? Really now the numbers don't work out.
On the other hand, you may be the lucky one to have your conversation listened in on. Do they get in trouble for this, nope. They get in trouble for physical acts of sex within the facility, but over the phone not. Planning crimes, confessing crimes, committing crimes over the phone yes. But sexual talk, nope.
Besides if they did listen in on it they would be laughing their behinds off because it would be so funny in the whole picture of things. Especially if they new the person on both ends were cheating on each other.

I'm sure you are paying for the call through the phone company providing the service for the inmates. Yes, sometimes guards do listen in, and your phone mysteriously gets disconnected so the guy has to call again. Then, you pay for another call from a prison. It depends on the state you are in, the security level of the prison, how many phones are in use, a lot of things. My friend was involved with an inmate and it was nothing for her to have a $1,500 phone bill. She got her man worked up and he went back and big bubba took care of him.

All phone calls within a prison are usually recorded and then reviewed . I'm sure your sexy talk would cerinaly give the listener an earfull. LOL

Yeah, I think that's a great idea, have phone sex w/your boyfriend who's only social contact is with a couple hundred other men.

Phone sex is okay, making plans for illegal activities will get you busted. Thank goodness I'm not the one that has to moniter the phones(yuck)

They do monitor all incoming and outgoing calls. They would not allow you and your b/f to have phone sex. Why don't you get out there and find yourself another decent guy who is law abiding.
