Pull the plug and find out. If it's meant to be...it will be....if not...you'll save a fortune on medical bills, which you will now be free to spend on that Nurse with the terrific bedside manner.

I completely believe in that saying. I've left and been left by people I loved but always kinda knew they didn't feel the same as I did. So things ended. They never came back and I did try to go back, but since it wasn't "true love" it never worked. But even though it never worked out for me, I still believe that statement to be true. If someone truly loves you, they won't be able to continue without you and will do just about anything to be with you. If they don't, then at least you know where you stood with them.

In some situations, yes, but if the person is in a Coma, then it's really hard to say if that question you ask is right

i do not know about the coma but other then that yes that is a true statement i have seen it happen many times

you seem to have a fairy tale interpretation of what love really is... your life is not predetermined -- if you let this person go, they have free will to do whatever they want to do. NOTHING is meant to happen, it just does.... that however, is not to say that GOD can not change things in your life randomly.

Comas, well sometimes they do come back; I heard the ebst thing is to talk to them all the time because they still listen... but you could give them the leverage and freedom; say you respect his/her need to leave if he/she wants, and that you'll always still be there, if he/she ever wants to come back to you...
