from my previous question about if holyspirit already existed during Jesus time, most of you approved yes he did exist.

another comforter? someone new that still not known:
John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

look carefuly at this verse, if i did not go then the comforeter will not come:
John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

he is unknown yet:
John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

this is an evidence that Jesus here is talking about someone different than the holyspirit that many christians have been taught it's. Jesus here is talking about someone new will tesitfy of Jesus.

His Word.

God's Word is His Spirit.

Not the printed text but God’s will, plan, thoughts, wisdom, knowledge, and His feelings the printed text conveys.

What Jesus is speaking about right here's experiencing the Holy Spirit in a clean way. on the day of Pentecost (Acts2nd chap.) The Holy Spirit got here and took up position of residing in and with the spirits of the Apostles. This enabled them to savour a communion that hadn't been experienced because the backyard.

There is absolutely no grounds for concluding the "Helper" "Comforter" Jesus mentioned here is Mohammed.
Of the 5, 366 Greek manuscripts of the NT, not one single manuscript contains the work periclytos ( praised one ), as the Muslims claim it should be read.

Jesus referred to the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send ( John 14:26 )

Helper was given to his disciples ("you" v16 ), but Mohammed was not

"Helper"," Comforter" was to abide with them forever ( v16 ) but Mohammed has been dead for 13 centuries.

Jesus told to his disciples " You know him ( the Helper ),(v17) but they did not know Mohammed. He was not even born until 6 more centuries.

Jesus said to is apostles, the Comforter, Helper will be "in you" (v17 ) In no sense was Mohammed "in " Jesus' apostles.

Our Lord affirmed the Helper would be sent "in MY ( Jesus ) name. John 14:26. But no Muslim believes Mohammed was sent by Jesus in His name.

Comforter, Helper Jesus would send would not "speak on His own authority ( John 16:13 ), whereas Mohammed constantly testifies to himself in the Quran ( Surah 33:40 )

Comforter, Helper would glorify Jesus ( John 16:14 ) but Mohammed claims to supersede Jesus, being a later prophet.

Jesus also asserted that the Helper, Comforter would not come "in not many days" ( Acts 1:5 ), whereas Mohammed did not come for 600 years.

The Comforter is the Holy Spirit. Read the 17th verse which you quoted and it tell you it is the Spirit. Jesus already existed before He came to this world. Is it that hard a concept that the Holy Spirit existed before He came. Ae you wanting to add a 4th being to the trinity?

:
Acts 8:15-17
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

16(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost

:
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you

The word "another" (allos in the Greek) is "another of the same", not "one more in number".

So Jesus is saying that as He was a comfort to the disciples, another comforter will be with them and IN them when He ascends to the Father. The disciples did not want Jesus to leave them, so Jesus assured them that when the Holy Spirit comes in to them, that they would have the same "koinonia" as if He were actually physically among them.

While Jesus was in the world He was the One that comforted. After His death it was the Holy Spirit. You must remember, they did not know about the Holy Spirit to them Jesus was their comforter.
