I have shoulder length permed hair which is coloured blonde. I can not find a conditioner that untangles the knots in my hair, . I have tried expensive ones and cheap ones but none of these seem to work.

I have very curly and usually dry hair. I use intensive care or deep treatment products as conditioner. Treseme is good, but not as good as the real intensive stuff. It is not too expensive, but they usually come in smaller bottles, are much thicker and end up costing more than the regular conditioner, but you may need less and it's guaranteed to leave your hair as soft as it can be. I really like the Pantene Pro-V line. They are all the same as far as I can tell. There is Deep Moisturizing Treatment, Deep Fortifying Treatment and at least one more. Dove also has an intensive treatment product that is good. As far as using it on a regular basis, I wash my hair every other day and have been using it every single time I wash for at least 5 years, just as a regular conditioner. The only side effect that I see is that my hair get softer the more I wash it.
Once a distribute the product I usually get rid of the knots by passing my fingers through the hair. Sometimes it's really bad and it takes me a while sorting the hair out (specially when my hair was reaching my waistline), but once I'm done with the shower, a quick bush is enough.

I have the same problem. I use Tresseme and sometimes if I'm short on cash I use the store brand of Pantene Pro V with the purple top. They also have this stuff made by Thermasilk, it is a straightening cream (it's like 3 bucks but last forever) You just put a little bit in your hand and rub it through works great as a detangler and smells good. A lot of people reccomend infusium but it doesn't work for me.

I swear by Paul Mitchell The Conditioner (its a leave-in). After putting it on in my hair, I can easily untangle even the worst knots by just gently putting my fingers through my hair with no pain or damage at all.

Hi i used to have this problem ive found timotei and tresemmes conditioners are good conditioners, but if its when you comb your hair it gets knotty then use a spray leave in conditoner as well as your normal conditioner this should help to get rid of the knots. Maybe its the type of brush you are using.

Try a leave-in spray detangling conditioner as well as the usual rinse-out conditioner - they're wonderful. Tresemme does a good one and so does Schwarzkopf Gliss - Total Repair Express Conditioner - it smells divine as well x

The old woman next door to me uses Granny Knot Conditioner. Don't know where she gets it from. Only problem is that it turns her hair blue.
