one if you are training you should be eating six meals a day...six small meals. not only will this keep you full but it will trick your metabolism into going faster...see after 3-5 hours of not eating your body goes into starvation mode and slows your metabilism to conserve energy...so if u eat more reguarly this will not happen and your metabolism will speed up
another trick is to eat low GI foods these are foods that take longer to break down...like brown rice, wholewheat products. oats are especially excellent and actually is so low GI that it burns calories to break it down so starting your day with oats is a great idea.
good luck and do some research on low GI foods...try to have natrual products tho not some premade crap which are full of chemicals and contain toxins...toxins are stored in the fat and therefor you will retain fat to keep healthy...diet soda is a great example of something that is low fat but makes you put on weight!

I agree with dave. Eat smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. It will keep a small amount on your stomach so you don't feel like you're starving. Keep a 32oz. bottle of water with you all the time and sip on it. If you start to feel hungry, take a good drink, wait a couple minutes, your hunger will probably subside. Also, hot liquids like tea (nix the sugar) help to make you feel full. I like it as a pick-me-up in the afternoon at work. Best of luck!

Eating a handful of nuts 20-30 minutes before a meal will make you eat less. Apples always fill me up..I cut them into slices..and I always make it a point to actually enjoy meals opposed to just eating, because the slower you eat, it seems the fuller you get. I also looovee to drink a lot of water, because that fills me up and the best part is, no calories! Good luck!

Protein sustains you longer. Eggs or cantalope for breakfast... chicken or tuna salad for lunch, and meat and veggies for dinner. Suppliment these meals with three snacks in between: i.e. celery w/ cream cheese, peanut butter, different lunchmeats with string cheese, etc. Always, always drink lots of water!!
Remember: if your body is getting fed every two hours, it won't hold onto the weight, thinking it's starving... your body will burn the fat for its energy source instead of the carbohydrates/sugars you eat because the protein will go right to good use instead of storage (like the carbs would). Hope that helps!

More smaller meals throughout the day, lotsa water and fiber is filling! Even if you take it as a supplement. I like Fiber Choice Sugar Free Orange Chewable Tablets. The only thins is that fiber makes you gasy, but it keeps you regular.

Breast milk isn't static in its makeup, like formulation is. It consistently ameliorations its composition to accomodate a touch one's various needs. also, foremilk is watery and satisfies thirst, at the same time as hindmilk is richer and fattier. As a touch one nurses, the milk starts watery, and then will change into fatter; as infant retains to nurse, it cycles lower back to watery and then to fatty back. it is also rather actually and quickly digested. formulation purely won't be able to do all that, and each and every time a formulation fed infant has a bottle, that is an similar makeup. also, a breastfed little you may nurse for convenience with out actual ingesting. no longer so for a bottlefed infant; you position the nipple of their mouth and the formulation drips out with out attempt. wish that helped. :) **even if if formulation fed little ones drink a lot less in words of oz (which isn't something we may be able to degree because breasts don't have ounce markers on them lol), the formulation remains more suitable difficult to digest. i imagine that is way less stressful to overfeed at the same time as utilising bottles, and that is component of it too. And definite, bottlefed little ones are comforted through the bottle, yet what they're getting is so extremely distinct from breast milk; it particularly is the substantial element.

try eating your protein FIRST. Protein signals you to feel fuller faster - and also don't forget that it takes about ten minutes for the body to "feel" full. So eat slow, enjoy and you'll do great (it already sounds like you're on the right path!). Keep it up :)

Shannon L gave an excellent answer, just to add.. eat your food slower. It takes a bit of time for your stomach to tell your brain you feel full, where by you will consume fewer calories.
