I am very interested to see the results when they take to the 1.5 mile tracks in two seasons. I thought that was the main purpose for the COT anyhow... Anyhow, it should be interesting to see what happens when that from air dam area gets messed up since it sits so low to the ground... The bottom line is that it will be safer for the drivers, and cheaper in the long run for the race teams. I just hope all goes well and we don't have any COT bugs that need to be worked out that ends up hurting divers on the track in terms of the point system...

I don't know all of the tracks but 16 of the 36 races will be in the COT starting with Bristol this year. Then 26 of 36 races in 2008 and all 36 in 2009.

They will use the COT at all 13 races on tracks under 1.5 miles in length. This will mean the first race with it will be in March at Bristol. Sorry, I don't know of hand what other short tracks are out there right now. They will also use it at the two road course races, Sonoma and Watkins Glen, as well as at the fall Talladega race. That gives you the total of 16 races this season.
