The problem is the dvd. The dvd is most likely from Sony Pictures or Disney. These newer dvds have amazing protection. To bypass this with just dvd shrink, I recommend DVD43, whic decrypts it in the background while your in dvd shrink. Otherwise, if you have dvd decrypter, get Ripit4Me, it does a good job too. Tell me if it works, it worked on mine.

properly I have seen this mistake many cases, a pal of mine become having a real massive difficulty with it. I have vista so that is distinct. although i got here across a artwork round. you'll want to acquire a loose software noted as DVD43 do a glance for for it. What it does is sit down interior the tray and waits so that you'll be able to insert a DVD, it then fools the operating device into wondering it isn't a secure disk. in case you've already got it make advantageous it is the very modern one. when you're upgrading you may ought to uninstall the version you've and then you should reboot your device previously setting up the recent replica. wish this helps Kowhai

DVD Shrink still works fine,BUT . some of the newer movies won't be run in this utility until after you run it thru DVD Fab Decrypter, you can download it from www.dvdidle.com/products.htm Run the movie thru it then use DVD Shrink to downsize the files.

DVD Shrink is not being updated anymore, and the movie companies have figured out how to prevent it from working with cyclic redundancy errors and bad directory structures. I would suggest you consider DVDFab, it is being updated and works with the newer copy protection schemes.

More details about the problem are needed.
If you started the shrinking process and then got the error, one of the source data files might be corrupt.

I would check your PC basic, do a Clean Disk, Run Defrag, run Chkdsk/f
See if that cleans things up.
If that does not help. You may have to reinstall the App
