Take a bunch of potatoes, skin them, cut thim into little bits, smuch them with a fork. But that in a mixer. Then add milk and butter. Cream them till fluffy yet heavy. Put them in separate bowls and add cheese, more butter, parsely, and sour cream. These potatoes are to die for, trust me.

Hi well to make proper mash you will have to get some put a pan on to boil or boil the kettle first and then put it in to a pan and light the hob and then the water should start to boil. Then peel the potatoes with a peeler or a knife but be careful if you have never done it with a knife before. Then wash the potatoes and place them genlty into the pan. Keep cheking the spuds and stab them with a knife and when they are soft after about 20-30 mins. Drain the water off using a collander, then put the spuds in the pan make sure you have turned of the heat. The but a little bit of milk in and a little bit of margerine or butter if you prefer, then get the mashed and mash away. and if you need more butter or milk then keep adding till you get it how you like. The serve on a plate add a dollop of butter and salt there you go. Or you could just tell your parent next time they go shopping to get you some smash then all you need is a kettle as you just poor the hot water on the smash and mix, and if you want you can put in milk and butter as well. And there you do it only takes about 5 mins to do it with smash.

peel the potatoes and cut them up into 3/4" cubes. Put the cubes into a pot of water until the water covers them. Allow the water to come to a boil and cover and reduce heat until the water simmers (small bubbles). Boil until the potatoes are cooked (check after 10 minutes). You will know that they are cooked when the fork will easily split a potato cube. If they need more time then just cook them a little longer. The drain the potatoes by dumping them into a colander. Then put the potatoes back in the hot cooking pot and use a potato masher to mash them as smooth as you can. Add a couple of tablespoons of butter to the hot potatoes and mix in well (the heat from the potatoes will melt the butter). Add some milk (start with about a 1/4 cup then increase as needed) and mix until its the consistency you want. Add a little salt and possibly some pepper for flavor. Good luck!

Peel the potatoes. Cut in half or quarters depending on the size of the potato. Put in a saucepan and cover with cold water.

Boil the water for 15/20 minutes or until the potato is soft. (Use a fork to test). Drain off the boiled water and mash with knobs of butter and a little milk. You can use a fork for this if you don't have a masher. Season with salt and pepper.

1 pound peeled russet potatoes, cut into small cubes
1/2 pound *unpeeled* red potatoes, cut into small cubes
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup low fat buttermilk (not skim)
3 tablespoons of butter

Combine potatoes in a large pot and barely cover with cold tap water. Place over high heat and season water with salt. Cover the pot and bring to a boil.

Meanwhile, combine buttermilk and butter in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Keep this mixture barely simmering until the potatoes are done.

As soon as the potatoes' water comes to a boil, remove the lid and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until fork-tender (meaning you can stick a fork all the way through one with hardly any effort).

Drain, then return potatoes to the pan, return pot to heat and shake for 30 seconds so the surface water can evaporate.

Remove pot and set on a towel.

Pour about 1/4 of the buttermilk / butter mixture into the potatoes and mash *gently* with a potato masher.

Once combined, taste to see if it's the right thickness and taste. If it's too thick, add a small amount of the mixture into the potatoes and gently mash again. Keep doing this until you reach a flavor and thickness that you like.

1) Wash 2#'s of potatos
2) Cut up into small sections (the smaller you cut them the quicker they will cook) about 3/4" cube
3)Boil until tender. If you want to limit salt do not add to water.
4)Mash potatoes. Add Milk and Butter to taste. Be careful not too add too much as pototoes could become liquidy.
5)Add pepper, garlic, onion or other seasoning you would like

****If you have any veggie dip or sour cream you can use that in place of the butter and milk. They make your potatoes different yet delicious. Just do not use a clam dip. YUCK!****

Peel the potatoes, cut them into chunks and then boil them in salted water until you can stick a fork in the chunk and it breaks up easily. Drain the water from the potatoes. I usually melt a stick of butter in a pan and add a 1/2 cup of milk. Then I slowly pour the milk/butter mixture into the potatoes as I mash them with a mixer. Add salt/pepper to taste

boil the potatoes until they are soft then add a knob of butter , a little milk or if you have cream even better and if you are having pork or beef add some mustard then mash with a potato masher which is a round mesh base either plastic or metal fixed to a handle until smooth approx. 1-2 mins if you do not have a masher you can use a fork but its a bit harder good luck

2 pounds of potatoes
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of half and half (half milk & half cream)
6 tablespoons of butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
PREP WORK Peel and quarter the potatoes.

. Add the potatoes to a large pot with enough cold water to cover them by an inch or so. Add salt and bring the water to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a knife. (About 15 minutes)

Drain the potatoes return them to the pot and cook the drained potatoes over low heat for a couple of minutes to evaporate some of the water still in the potato.

Mash by your method of choice. (I prefer a potato ricer, you can use a masher)

Blend in butter, half & half, and any other ingredients you prefer.

Season with salt and pepper.

I like to add chopped onion and garlic to the cooking pot. Drain when soft. Heat margarine and milk in microwave for 1 minute slowly add as you are mashing with and electric mixer.

Some people like smashed potatoes which you use a hand held potatoe masher. These will have lumps.

Good Luck
