Isn't it about time the police started issueing fines to those idiots that, for some reason only known to themselves, refuse to indicate at junctions and crossroads?
Driving without due care and attention, dangerous driving, inconsiderate driving.....they can all be applied to those people.
It is dangerous and selfish to not indicate at juntions!
Also, if you crash into one of these idiots and get a witness to their indiscretion, lack of indication, their insurance company will drop them like a stone!
Be warned, if you do not indicate near me, I WILL pull you over!

Extra...Diddly, you are correct, I do none of these things. I'm a proffessional driver, my livelihood is at risk.
Sixmillionways, Mark B and Viking, i'm guessing that, from your threats, that you three are the type of drivers that I am referring to.

Take your point Moreglade and I agree that the standard of driving is appaling in GB
Yes I am sure that we all make some mistakes, but not the basic fundamantal ones
Most people spend a small fortune learning to drive "properly" in order to pass their test. Then another small fortune on a car and insurance etc only to forget the damn lot when they get out on the road by themselves
Then there is the "show off" he's really great to meet on the road
I firmly believe that there is a demand for periodical competance to drive testing in this country. Perhaps every 5 years. Those that fail should be given a period of time to retest at the required standard and fail a second time should then retrain with professional tuition
You have your car MOT tested each year to ensure that it has not deteriorated beyond a safe level so why not your driving
I also believe that medicals should be part of this assessment
If as you say you are trying your very best to be a safe driver then you should have nothing to worry about. Those that worry are likely to be the drivers that fail at the most basic level of courtesy and I have met a few
Having the right to use a car on the roads is in my view an earned priveledge and not a god given right. I believe it is up to each individual to accept that priveledge and preserve it
I ride a motorcycle and that road idiot is my worst nightmare
Well thats me off my soap box but unfortunately I do want to remain a road user but a safe and healthy one

When I passed my test over thirty years ago, my examiner told me to always expect the unexpected, and if someone is indicating to turn left they will probably turn right.
If you are half the driver you think you are, you will set the better example, after all crashes are due to proximity, so my advice to you is:
Treat all other drivers as potentially explosive, and keep well clear.
Don't be led into a false sense of security, and,
Just consider that they may have a recently developed fault ( blown bulb) that they are not aware of.

What about those idiots who don't indicate on roundabouts also I've noticed a growing number of cretins who seem to believe that their indicator is a talisman (good luck charm) against accidents. They start to pull out to overtake or to turn and then when they are committed to, or actually in the manoeuvre they remember they have indicators. And what about push cyclists who apparently don't need lights, or to obey traffic regulations or even in some cases i have seen brakes???

I agree totally... it is inconsiderate not to indicate your direction of travel, especially when they don't even keep to their own lane. I notice it more at roundabouts. I can't read their mind!
They were taught the MSM routine... but must have forgotten it. No excuse.
