Ingest products rich in Vitamin C, drink lots of fluids, get plenty of rest. Make sure you eat properly to remain replenished. The body fights off illnesses a lot better if it is strong and well-nourished.

The obvious is to get plenty of rest, vitamin C is good, plenty of fluids (water preferrably), and a good OTC medication is ZiCam. Use it at the first onset of a cold and follow the directions carefully. It is a zinc based medication and does wonders for me.

Take straight Vitamin C vitamins (take the recommended dose on the bottle, usually 1-2 pills a day), along with drinking TONS of water. At least a bottle of water every hour you're awake. And get plenty of sleep.

Drink lots of pineapple juice, or drink a shot of whiskey and wrap up in the heaviest, warmest comforter you've got and sweat it out.

Yes, I agree with these guys..Vitamin C seems to do the trick. As for the garlic pills, you have to take them before you get sick. Otherwise there is no use. Also, OJ helps.

drink alcohol. Your body works very hard to get alcohol out of your body by flushing it out. It will zap the cold at the same time.
