We go to our local Jessops Camera shop. They are brilliant there, they know the rules and they will make sure you have exactly what you need.

They are also really good at taking kids passport pictures too.

Nearly all photo booths state that they produce photos that are according to UKPA and DVLA standards. But this is providing you adjust the seat to the correct position according to the on screen instructions in the photo booth. I think there is a guarantee they are up to standard, if not, you can forward the photos to the company who is in charge and get a refund.

Some shops such as Klick and Snappy Snaps etc do passport photos taken by a person. But do ask whether they guarantee it would be suitable for passport purposes.

Some chemists that also do photo processing do passport photos too. We get ours done in one as that's the only way to guarantee you get photos which the Passport Office will accept. The booth ones are usually rejected.

We used the photo kiosk at the post office and they where still wrong . It took three attempts to get some that where accepted. My advice would be to go to a photographer it would be cheaper in the long run.
