Good for you! You're doing great! Keep it up!!!
All of that is normal. You're going through withdrawal. And don't listen to whoever said it's *all* mental. Nicotine is as addictive physically as cocaine or heroin. (I'm guessing whoever said that it's all mental has never smoked, but who knows.) The withdrawal symptoms are probably strongest for you now, but they could last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
Good luck & keep up the good work.

A slight cough is normal because the mucus finally got a chance to start breaking up. A new medication is available for quiting called chantix. I believe pfiser makes this. Don't go it alone. Contact your family doctor and ask for all options for help including a 24 hour help line.

Good for you - it sucks to quit
What your feeling is normal your body is craving nicotine. I've been on Chantix for two weeks now and am down to 1 - 2 cigarette a day from 1/2 - 1 pack a day try this if you can't stop on your own.
Good Luck

you are starting to go through withdraws. this is normal and it will last for a while. the cough I'm not so sure about.
ask your doctor about "Chantix"
This medicine regime is a nicotine blocker. that's all it does it blocks the nicotine coming into your body and helps you not have the cravings that you are starting to deal with.
Also, get online support with Quitnet. You Can Beat this addiction!!

Your body will most likely do some crazy/not-so-great things. I quit on Jan. 1 cold-turkey and I'm still going strong. My first week was probably the hardest, but gone through it 24 days now I am doing okay. I tend to get cravings but you just have to push them aside. It seems though that I get sick to my stomach when someone is smoking while I am eating/about to eat.

all addictive things have a hang over which will force you to take them again.
You will be just okay. Consider this a test and a challenge and fight it. If you are sincere about quitting it, you wont go for another cigar again what so ever...else you failed.
Think about it...i nned not tell you how bad smoking is and how good stopping it is. So buy a condom for the money and make love to your girl friend....lol

Keep up the good work. Your body will eventually get rid of the nicotine as long as you don't go back. One way to help yourself with that is to get rid of all the reminders of smoking. Throw out the ash trays, lighters, and cigarettes. If you can, keep yourself away from people who smoke for awhile. That will help tremendously. Good luck!

Stick with it!!!!!!! You're going to be just fine - and this part of feeling weird, sick - anything - totally normal - it's mental, and it will definately pass. Allow your body time to get rid of the nicotine (I think up to a week - double check me on that). Good luck and stay strong - it's the best decision you'll ever make :)

I quit two years ago. The feelings you are having are not only normal, they are quite common. They will pass in a few days. Now is the toughest time. You must be strong willed and not give in. You must convince yourself that you simply don't "do that " anymore (smoking). You can be as strong as you wish to be.
