I recently renovated my kitchen and pulled out a 1950's era cast iron/porcelain sink. Does this sink have any resale or recycle value?

Resale would be a better option than recycle - the scrap value is negligble and you would most likely have to pay to recycle it. To sell it try a recycle paper, craigslist or ebay but I suggest you have it pick up only as shipping would be astronomical. Good Luck!

About 1/2 cent a pound.

Damn rights!

A friend of mine paid $75 dollars for an old sink (and not one I would put in my house)

Check ebay and see if you can find similar products. Then set a price based on a comparable product and sell it on ebay yourself.

Everything has value on Ebay. Sell it.
