Tabasco has a long shelf life if unopened, and even when opened, it still stays good for a long time. It's mostly vinegar and peppers, which means that the worst enemy is apt to be mold.
If you've had an opened, refrigerated bottle for more than 6-8 months, it's probably a good idea to replace it. The stuff is probably still good, but it's cheaper to buy a new bottle than take chances.

I used some tobasco that had been sitting around for two years and it tasted just fine--although it had not been opened.

no tobasco sauce stays good for years as long as it is in the glass conainer, but it will go bad in the plastic container.

I say in case you don't get a abdomen discomfort then choose for it. basically dipping your finger interior the bottle won't harm you. it is base is vinegar and so is a pickle and we consume lots of those.

never heard of it spoiling- since a main ingredient in it is vinegar. i always keep mine in the fridge tho

Everything goes bad eventually. Think about it:
your breath, your food, your car, etc.
If its been over a year - Toss it.

No. After a while it will turn BROWN, but even then it's probably okay. Maybe you should keep it in the fridge, though - I do..

no, it has vinegar in it, and spices. nothing perishable at all, and its ingredients are natural preservatives. i think it can last for years.
