I can't decide whether hydrosealing my restrooms is something I should do. On one hand, I want to avoid urine getting into the floors and dirtying the floors, but on the other hand, how much of a safety issue is it? This is for a public facility rather than a private residence.

Is hydrosealing bathroom floors usually recommended? I can't decide whether hydrosealing my restrooms is something I should do. On one hand, I want to avoid urine getting into the floors and dirtying the floors, but on the other hand, how much of a safety issue is it? This is for a public facility (Library) rather than a private residence. One of the staff bathrooms has a shower head in one section of the room, but no tub separating it from the other amenities of the restroom.

I assume you have concrete floors? The concrete should be sealed for sanitary reasons or covered with a durable, cleanable surface. If concerned with cost you may be able to get remnant vinyl froma flooring distributor and use inexpensive vinyl base.
Inexpensive tile is another option.
You don't state what kind of facility this is? If you have customers using your bathroom it is important to your business that they perceive it to be clean.

Hydro-sealing, the yuppie definition for water-sealing, if you don't want any water to leak below or to another area, I would recommend doing it...
