Tell me your thoughts.

Spiritual growth is not an automatic. We cannot take shortcuts for a spiritual maturity. It takes time and an intentional commitment.

We must WANT to grow, DECIDE to grow, MAKE AN EFFORT to grow, and PERSIST in growing.

God revealed to us " Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. "

In a religious sense, no, but in a philosophical way, yes. I love the idea of "Love one another."

It's sad that most people think this is a joke. Anyways, I've seen several times were I've ran into people from my high school days who I didn't get along with. I 'myself' wanted to keep walking and just say nothing at all. I wanted to continue to hold a grudge. But, I love Jesus and I know that in order to make it into Heaven, I must have a pure heart. So I put satan's way under my foot and speak to those people and EVERY TIME they speak back. I felt so much better afterwards. Now we speak every time we see each other, I even carry on a conversation with some of them.

I don't think we can decide to grow and be successful in growing any more than a squirt of an 8 year old boy can will himself to grow another inch to impress a girl in class. Jesus didn't say for us to grow ourselves...He said abide in the vine and we WILL grow. The branch does not produce the fruit, the vine does, but does so through the branch. The branch merely bares the fruit. So when you look at another christians fruit, scrutinizing it, you are scrutinizing what the Lord has done in their life. You may have 10 grapes and me only 2, but neither of us grew them there....we just bare them. Besides a Shepard never "drives" sheep, He leads them.

If I were to think like Jesus, I would be thinking how to trick people or I would worry so much on what miracles to perform just to colonize minds or I would play holly and righteousness to wash their brain so I would always be their lord or even if I would die like any other criminal of my time I would still be able shift the blame of my death to their salivation. Or I would tell them I am the only truth to blind them away from the real truth of who they really are and how they are the only one in charge of their own salivation so they would always remain my innocent slaves or at least until the truth come out. Anyway what I am trying to say is, there is too much fun in trying to think like Jesus the LIRE sorry I mean the savior

Yes absolutly. I'm talking Urban Bible Training and learning more and more about the Lord.
And right now I really need to stop thinking about how many questions I can answer and focus on getting my lesson done and my home work for the classes I have on Ministerial Leadersip and Paul's Prison Letters (Philippians, Colossians, Ephesians and Philemon)
Thanks for the reminder to get back to studying.

Well, I'm an atheist. But I believe that Jesus had some very good messages about how to treat others. So yes, I do take some of what he had to say and use it in my current way of living.

No. I'm focused on emotional growth and maturity and physical and psychological health. I want to learn, I want to be a better person, I want to do better today than I did yesterday. Religion can stay out of my way because it is conducive to none of those endeavours. All it does is devalue human beings.

Yes. In my personal wishes, every single person goes to heaven, but I know that they must take a certain path and even though I don't want anyone to perish.... I just have to listen to the Spirit.

God rules everything in my life. One thing that the Trinity has done for me is open my eyes, and given me strength so that I might not end up brainwashed an unable to think outside of the box. They have also shown me that tolerance is the ONLY way.
