Athletes foot is simply a fungal infection of the skin of the feet and if he has come into contact with this from the adults in the house then he can definitely have it.

Yes my daughter had it when she was 1. The doctor prescribed a ointment that never worked so I ended up just buying a spray from walmart and it finally went away.

yes, it is just a bacteria, anyone can get it. Get some lotramin and apply throughout the day.
Most people think I am crazy when I tell them this, but the pharmacist recommended me to use Lotramin for my daughters diaper rash - she used to get it SO bad. I thought he was crazy, but I tried it, and it worked wonders!

Hmmm....well if he's been walking around barefoot, them yes. If someone brought a bacteria into the house on their shoes or feet--if they've been walking around barefoot, then yes, the baby can.

I suspect an allergy, perhaps to something he is eating or detergent. If its just his feet, perhaps he has an allergen to something in his shoes or socks

its possible. but it doesn't sound like athletes foot. it sounds more like eczema, friction, or even possibly hand, foot and mouth disease which is common in toddlers.
