It was certainly true for the Mars factory. Basically the thought is simply that if you let workers eat as much as they want very soon they will sicken of it; this overall is less costly to the company than the odd one here and there nicked when the foreman isn't looking. This can mount up, a sneaky one here and sneaky choc there, adds up to more than a few days maximum of bingeing.

Course not....have you been watching willie wonker and the chocolate factory. How does your employer expect you to work all day long if you stuff yourself with chocs. Cadbury could make a reduction of any confection you buy and they could give you a box of chocolates as a gift of apreciation for your service.

that sounds fair to me. I believe most people would soon grow sick of eating and the company would figure it is better to give it to the employees.
