I have a really nice black cat about 2 years old and it is very loving and cute. After a hard day outside it does cheer me up being all soft, warm and furry. The only problem is that very occasionally it will try to impregnate me if i'm sat on a sofa, i tried ignoring it at first but now it just infuriates me. Am i right to be angry or should i be flattered, what can i do to stop it happening again? Thanks.

NO! the cat IS neutered! But it must just be very horny, i dunno.

An unneutered cat or a cat that was neutered too late in life will sometimes display sexual affection towards its owner. I don't know what you can do about it other than ask your vet. Training cats is not easy. If you want to, you can try ignoring your cat as soon as he starts unwanted behavior, just walk away and don't pay attention to him for 10 minutes or so. I don't know if it will work, but its worth a shot.
Keep in mind that hitting, yelling and spraying water are not good ways to correct a cat, they are good ways to get a cat that hates you and is quietly plotting your demise :)

A deterrent for naughty cat behaviour is getting a tiny little water pistol and giving it a squirt when it does these un-desirable things to you. Kitties hate water and it will soon learn that thats not acceptable behaviour. You could try buying the cat a nice big teddy and spray it with catnip so it can take its frustrations on the teddy rather than you?

Hmmmm he's neutered you say so must be a hormonal imbalance somewhere, ask the vet i have never heard of a neutered cat doing this at all.

My advice would to have a spray bottle with you most of the time filled with water and next time your cat does this, squirt it. Then over time it will know not to do that anymore.

when your cat gets amorous you can spray him and tell him no or distract him with a toy.Be flattered (hee-hee)
