What do you think that means? Do you think it is true or false, and why?

Yes I have my dear child of the living God! I think you need to look at the fruits and their annointing! One has recieved the substitutiary sacrifice as propitiation for our sins and now covered in the blood of JEEEEESUS, we can walk without same for the second death does not come like a thief in the NIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

You mean like that?

I think people like to talk in "christianese" because it makes them feel more spiritual. They also have a standard answer to every problem. "I'll pray for ya". "You are on my prayer list"...which means, I will think of you from time to time and perhaps pray if I remember but that's all I'm willing to do in your situation.

Some person comes up with a sick child, dying of cancer. Some christians even tell these parents that their child is not healed because they lack faith. It's stuff like that that just ggggggrrrrrrrrrrr drives me nuts.

I think it's important to remember we have a vertical relationship with God and a horizontal relationship with the people in our lives and in the world. We don't always have to look like we are super saturated with the presence of God and talk in lofty hyperspiritual ways. Also hey, a person with a sick child needs prayer sure, but do you know what they need just as much? Rest...company...a good book to read to occupy their time when at the hospital....someone to clean their house or fill up their car with gas. Or take care of their dogs so they can focus on their sick child. Don't just pray but pray and do.

I have heard it and the word they usually use is spiritually minded..I believe it to one of many lies you will not find Christ teaching people not to be spiritual and the physical things including this world will pass away as will all the earthly good a man sees as good.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised

Yes, my parents were this way. Everything they did, everything they said they believed, everything they said was a sin so they wouldn't do it, etc.,. It was all to get into Heaven. And, as far as I could see, they became so judgmental, so angry, they had made life on this earth a Hell---just to get into Heaven.
