Cry. Crying helps you get it out and face your problems & emotions. You can't just bottle them up because trust me, it'll only get worse. Personally, I refused to cry over one ex, and I ended up breaking down a week later.
My last b/f broke up with me. When I got home I let it aalllllll out. I sobbed all night, then cried to my friends, then cried alone again. It really helped, because I got over it faster and started doing things that I didn't have time for when I had a b/f. I relieved stress by working out (and in turn lost weight!), I focused on school, spent more time with the fam, and I hung out with old pals. Theres soooo much more you can do, but the moral of the story is: CRY. :) hope this helps!

You can make peace with the past by moving on and seeing that your life has been better or may get better if it hasn't already happened. Like I have made peace with my past by finding a real love after being heartbroken.Plus holding on to painful stuff can cause you to stress a lot and loss your hair and health problems.

In my opinion there is no such thing as putting the past to rest, or making peace with the past, its life, some will get over it, others will take a while, depending upon if you were dumped or the one to dump. If you dumped someone you truly had feelings for over someone else you knew or had met, your concious is getting to you. The best thing you can do is not look for someone, have fun, and when you least expect it, then you will find piece of mind.

I don't know your circumstances, so all I know to tell you is don't dwell on the past, the more you dwell on a bad experience, the worse it seems and harder to put it behind you. Look around and you can always see other people with worse fate or experience.
Sometimes the Lord allows things to happen to strengthen and make you stronger. Say to yourself, "I'm not going to let it me down", so hold your head up and keep going. I truly hope this is a help.

I get busy doing something else. I find something new and exciting to me to get my mind off of something that happened to me, or just something I can't change that is bothering me. And time is something that also gets you through something. The more time that goes by, the less something is there to bother you.
