Depends on where you live. Most Americans like shi++y beers like Budweiser and other flavorless lagers. If you're throwing a party see if the local microbrew has a small keg of something special. The boring beer guys will enjoy and so will the beer snobs (like me). I would rather drink coke at a party than be seen with a bud light in my hand. EWWWW! Your mixers sound good. I think 7up is better than sprite for a mixer but I cant tell you why. For vodka get a bottle of Grey Goose or Skyy. Jack Daniels always works for whiskey. Some Captain MOrgan's or other spiced rum makes a nice drink that more women will order. I would also maybe add some tonic and some soda for gin and tonics or scoth and sodas, stuff like that. And dont neglect your designated drivers. Make sure you have plenty of coke and juice and the drinkers dont polish it off right away. If you are doing the mixing, remember, you arent doing anyone any favors by pourring them super hard drinks. Lots of ice, one shot, fill the glass with coke, and your good. If you make them too strong you get a party with a buttload of sloppy drunks one hour into it and by the end of the night people are puking in your plants and peeing in the sink and stuff. Hope this helps.

Are you having a party, or just stocking up? If you just want to keep stuff on hand, I'd go for Absolut vodka, which goes good with orange or cranberry juice; some sort of bourbon or whiskey, maybe Wild Turkey, Seagram's 7 and/or Jim Beam Coke and Sprite for these. I wouldn't ordinarily keep tequila on hand, it's more of a party or bar drink, but if you want to get it, get Cuervo Gold. It's not usually used with a mixer, and the cheap stuff is awful. For beer, I'd just have maybe Bud Light, Miller High Life, maybe a few Heineken's.
Now, if you're talking PARTY, I personally would go with some cheaper stuff, especially the vodka. There's a huge difference in price, and unless money is no object, I would go cheap, or at best midrange. The favorite cheap beer of nearly everyone I know is Milwaukee's Best Ice. Miller High Life is also inexpensive. Kamchatka (not sure of spelling) is OK for a cheap vodka. I wouldn't go TOO cheap on the bourbon - Early Times is pretty good, or again, Jim Beam.
Also, for a party, I would get a BOX of wine. Get the pink stuff - White Zinfandel.
I would not furnish Jagermeister to party guests - Sure, people like it and will drink it, but have you seen how f***ed up they get? Do you want that in your house? I know I don't.

Beer-- depends on the crowd -
College- Coronas and Bud Light - Cheap
Slightly better - Sam Adams Light & Heiniken Mid Price
Better - Guiness and Stella Artois - More Expensive.
As for Vodka, Kettle One is my favorite brand, its filtered the best, and isnt too expensive, but Skyy is good for shaking Martinis
Tequila - Patron is good, most people like it for the name more than anything, but its super expensive. Don Julio, 2 fingers, Huradura, Stay away from Cabo Wabo.
Dont get JACK DANIELS!!!!!!! IT makes people angry! Makers mark is Bourban, but its beter
Mixers.. get some Triple Sec. Brand doesnt matter too much unless money is no object. Then get Contreiu.
Get OJ, Cranberry, Pineapple, TONIC WATER, Roses lime juice, Coke and Sierra Mist Limes and lemons.
Couple of good simple.
Maragarita 1.5 oz tequila, 1/2 oz triple sec, 1/2 oz lime juice. lime
Vodka Tonic- 1-2 oz vodka, fill with tonic, lime
Madras- 1.5 oz Vodka fill with OJ and Cranberry
With alcohol you usually do get what you pay for...

Are you throwing a party? Be safe and cover everyones needs, always carry a domestic, an import, a light and a specialty beer. Example: Budweiser, Corona/Heineken, Michelob Ultra Light, Sam Adams Winter Ale.
Vodka: Stoli or Absolut for mixing...don't go crazy w/$ like Ketel One, Grey Goose or Belvedere if people are mixing. A flavored vodka always good to have like Raspberry, Orange or Vanilla.
Tequila: Jose Cuervo for $ sake, or Sauza Hornitos.
You need a Gin (Tanqueray/Bombay), a Rum (Bacardi) and a Scotch (Dewars).
Mixers: please add OJ, Soda & Tonic Water.
Couple bottles of Red & White Wine.
Party On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
