hi Laci,
my life is really good except for the fact that my family's financial situation is really bad...but even so, Lord Almighty has lead my family in a smooth path. Of course we do lack a few things every now and then but no matter what He has never left us hanging...i know things will get better soon but even if it doesn't, as long as He's here in our lives i feel content. There are ups and downs but somehow i always feel happy..now more than before..i can see that i laugh everyday and the sound of my laughter comes deep from within...and no matter how bad things are, i keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason and it makes me feel better....i'm not sure if i cud be happier!

thank u all 4 answering...it's just sumthing that i wanted to knw..

I consider contentment as being satisfied with the way things are progressing in my life. That does not rule out the possibility of any improvement. Whenever we make decisions, we do not always make good ones. This does not have to cause discontent, just help us to make better ones in the future. Yes, I am content with my life. It is a good life, the one I have been given. I hope I am using my time on this earth doing what good I can. I do not look for huge undertakings, I am happy in helping one person at a time. I hope my life can be an example to others. Whenever we are discontent, it is usually with ourselves and not with what we have or own. The biggest mistake that we make is looking for that contentment in things, other people or even in success in work. It cannot be achieved in those manners. It has to come from within us. Others can see it and recognize it.

Yes. I have a very rewarding job, my family and friends love me and the feeling is returned. There isn't much more that I could want out of life. And I am also content with the person I have become. For the first time in my life I actually feel complete. Great question!

No, Im am lonlier than ever, For 8 years (from 9 to 17) Ive lived in holland where I grew up and had everything i wanted now ive moved back to my country of origin and everything is ****.
The 3rd world sucks, tiny details which add up and make me want to rip freaking heads off. People are different (sometimes for the better) but mostly for the worse. Im in a hard stage in my life and annoyed at the fact that i have to fight through it without my friends.

I think that sums it up, I have no complaints about this life, my only wish is I had more motivation, but first I need something to get motivated for. I think I've found that now (school, not God) and I'm excited to go back, and try a new career, and a new path in life. As for the rest of my life, i'm going through the motions, but life is beautiful enough that it's a fun ride.

Absolutely. I am content with my life, because I am alive, and that's enough for me whether things are going well or not. I don't equate contentment with a lack of motivation - it is hard work to eliminate discontent from your life. I have done many things, and have many more to do, but emotionally, yes, I am content.

How about you?

More then ever before, but not quite content. Maybe content isn't a good thing because then we tend not to strive for other successes. A friend of mine once told me that that longing is a longing for God.

I'm not content. I'm inured to hardship-I just view it as part of my life that I have to deal with as best I can. I envy people who are happy in life-the idea of being genuinely happy doesn't even cross my mind.
