Do you know what euthanasia is? It's certainly NOT a "treatment." It's a doctor killing a patient. I do believe in it, but it's still illegal. My father had kidney cancer and it metastasized through his body. My sisters were there (I was 5) and the nurse came in and gave him a big dose of morphine. 15 minutes later, the doctor came in and asked how his pain was. "Bad" my father said, so he gave him another big dose of morphine. My father went to sleep, and never woke up. God bless that doctor.

Wow...now that IS a question...
Instead of euthanasia, it is called "Death with Dignity" in the state of Oregon. Though you are asking about people with HIV, I assume you really mean those with full blown AIDS and in a terminal condition.
You can go to the state of Oregon Web site for more information.

It depends. Euthanasia, if it was legal, would have to be judged case-by-case, as it is not something to be taken lightly. In the vast majority of cases when it comes to psychological problems it is not okay, but maybe in certain situations it could be okay. I can't imagine such a situation, but it wouldn't be fair to rule it out in case it does come along.

Although I personally believe in it...it is still illegal. I wouldn't advise anyone to offer you advice, but I do offer you my sympathy. Aids is a horrible disease, and the ripple effect it leaves in its wake is unreal. I hope you or your loved on are having a good day today.

Euthanasia is not a treatment. To euthanize literally means assisted suicide. So if someone is going to to get euthanized it means they are going to die.
