Yes and no. Depends on what digit is missing. Make sure the 10th digit is V. See if the first digit is a J or 1 other than that, it is to hard to tell.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.

Research the numbers you have and don't even try to guess at this. A VIN number is a combination of numbers and letters with too many combinations to try to calculate. I would strongly suggest looking at another car. Tampering with a VIN number on the paperwork is illegal, and the title to the car has to have that info on it.

Nope, no way. One of the VIN digits is a check digit; that prevents any guessing.

Sometimes, depending on which digit is missing, you call get the info from a dealer... each digit represents something, like year, model, color and such.... did ya copy it wrong? Always remember, a VIN is always 17 digits....

missing a VIN is a serious offense. you have to have the whole VIN, you cannot guess, it could be a stolen vehicle.

Of course you can guess. It probably won't be correct, but you can try.
