No. It is more like at 3am. For Short haul destinations they used to open 2 hours before departure, now its 3 hours and for long haul used to be 3, now 4 hours before.

I would check with the airline to be sure. However I flew really early in the morning once, and I got their about 2 and half hours before the flight. But I had to wait an hour for the checking in desk to open. Because not as many people fly early in the mornin/late at night there is usually less checking in staff and because there is less people to do security checks on I wouldn't think you would have to get there as early if you went during peak time. I would aim to get their for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours before the flight, but like I said check with the airline company to be sure.

The airlines are open 24/7. They recommend that you check in 3 hours before at the moment because of the extra security but you don't really need to, 2 hours is plenty. Most airlines let you check in online and then just show up with your luggage an hour before. Have a great flight

hi there most airlines that operate from LHR their check in opens at 0500 I work for an airline in heathrow our first flight is at 0620 and check in opens at 0500 as long as your checked in no later than 30mins before u are fine. But I would not turn up at 0400 cos there won't be anyone there to check you in.

Yeah, you have to check in at 4 and yes the counter is going to be open!! DUH sorry...I went to Cancun, which was just GORGEOUS, and our flight was at 6 in the morning and we had to leave our house at 3:30 in the morning so we could get there on time and everything and go through secutiry and BLAH BLAH BLAH...but it was definitely worth it. I recommend going there. It is the most beautiful place in the world!! Yeah, the night before I had soccer training from 9-10:30. YES I WAS REALLY TIRED..lol
Hope this helps!!
