Sounds like your pug may have something other than reverse sneezing going on.

I have a Pekingese with epilepsy and some of his lesser seizures begin with breathing trouble similar to reverse sneezing but lead to him acting disoriented and tired afterward.

Have your vet do a complete blood panel to test for underlying causes. You may also want to mention that you are concerned he may be having seizures. There are many types of seizures and hopefully your vet can help you learn how to prevent further occurences.

Good luck!

He could have a form of epilepsy. I had a cat that had seisures, but never was able to find a good medication for her.
Thank you for taking the time and being responsible enough to get her to the veterinarian. He/She should be able to run the appropriate tests and, possibly, prescribe an appropriate medication.
Good Luck!

sounds like seizures ------- where did you get him??? call your breeeder and get some background info on him ---- AKC papers don't mean anything,,, that is purely on the honor system,, you need to call the breeder and find out if epilepsy etc. runs in her lines.......
