We have a 3 year old boy and each night we make him go potty before we put him to bed - that helps. Also, if he happens to have an accident then the next morning we make sure he sees that and we will tell him that if he's gotta go potty during the night to come get one of us that it's ucky to sleep in a pee bed - this has worked for him.

Put GoodNights/pullups on them. Bedwetting is not really an issue even at five. I've checked with the pediatrician as well as read articles about it because my 5 year old also still wears GoodNites to bed. Most people wake to pee during the light part of their sleep cycle, but our kids' signals are not mature enough yet to wake them up. Someday they will be; meantime stop stressing yourself and your kids about it.

This is something that kids need to outgrow. I wet the bed until I was around 8 years old and my mom tried everything from medicine to waking me up a couple times a night to use the bathroom. So I would try not giving them any liquids a couple of hours before bed and waking them up a couple times a night to use the bathroom. GOOD LUCK!!

Okay, the answers about bribing kids are just stupid. What a way to teach your child NOT to respect your authority.
They may be really heavy sleepers & will have to outgrow it. Let them wear pullups to bed. My 5-year-old didn't learn to wake up on her own until she was about 4 1/2. My 3-year-old hasn't had a nighttime accident since he was 2. It really varies from kid to kid.
Limit nighttime drinking, make sure they potty before bed, and otherwise don't pressure them & wait for them to outgrow it.

I will try to suggest something for you,
maybe you could try only giving them water in the evening and cut the water off at a certain time before bed make them go pee before they get in bed. also they sell matress covers for the bed untill you get this taking care of.
I hope you find something that will help!!
good luck!!

Don't let them drink soda at all and make it a routine for them to get their last drink of the day about an hour or more before bedtime. After they brush their teeth - make them try to go potty. Also leave a nightlight trail to the bathroom should they need to get up during the night.
Some kids just have bladder maturity before others...if you are forever changing sheets you might look at using some of the goodnights/pullups at night and having a sticker chart for they nights they stay dry.

Many children wet the bed. If you limit drinks, take them to the bathroom and they still wet the bed then I suggest pull ups and patience. It may take a while. You could check with their doc and see if any problems but usually they grow out of it.

Stop giving them liquids at least 2 hours before they go to bed and also, make sure they go potty before bed time.
The emptier the bladder - the less accidents.

Let them sleep on the floor, that way they won't pee in bed.
