Their lineage stinks to high heaven, even today with all the priestly child abuse that the Pope was clearly aware of/....How?

C,mon guy, the Pope knew all about his priests who were abusing. The millions of dollars they have spent for years, long before the last Pope died, are you telling me he didn't know about it, c'mon. You're in denial.
Some even tried to convince the Pope to resign because it looked so bad. People, those old men are brainwashing you, wake up!

Because they believe that the Popes tried to do what was best in the situtation they are in and if they made a mistake then you have to forgive because that is central to the Catholic faith.

ps- You claim that the Pope was aware of the child abuse but do you have any evidence to substantiate that claim? Some people who lived with the victims while they were being abuse and for years after never knew so how would some guy in Rome be expected to hear about it?

The lineage goes back to Peter. Does he stink, too? Protestants in the 16th and 17th Centuries weren't the most loving types, either. Should we not respect them for their beliefs simply because what some of their ancestor may or may not have done a few hundred years ago? Whatever happened to forgiveness? Or does your "Christianity" have limits?

That all the bad popes have failed to destroy the Church is evidence of her divine constitution and divine protection.

"And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18)

"I am with you always, to the close of the age." (Matthew 28:20)

Well a lot of things were bad back then. A kind person back then would probably have morals less than most pedophiles in prison in America today.

The Catholic Church has been a tool of satan since it's inception. They are all evil--and the followers who aren't evil are so misguided there is no hope for them. The Catholic priesthood is a homosexual cult--it is a sadistic, satanic organization that preys on the innocent and rapes them of their purity. The Catholic Church is the wealthiest church in the world--money is a huge part of the demonic faith. They also funded Hitler during WWII.
