At most horse races yooh can buy a raceform book. Look at the horse's history, and see how many races the horse has won or placed in previously. Also, if you have a horse with odds of 5-2, then a horse with 16-1, then pick the horse with the smaller number.

It's fun to bet and I do it every year here in Louisville at the Ky Oaks and the Ky Derby. I usually know how much I can lose.
The best tip I have for you is not to bet the horses. You can win a horse race but you cannot beat the horses.

My dad's nickname was ....Racetrack Frank!
He spent $2500.00 a month on horses. he did this for 28 years after retirement [93 when he died] He left $20,000.00 in the bank when he died with my name and my cousins name on the account. I cleaned my dads apartment and my cousin cleaned his bank account. Betting leaves people confused about their money!
