You can get stress and tension headaches from worrying. You need to relax more, and try to take care of what is causing the worry and tension in order for it to lessen and go away.

Try taking a hot shower or bath and just sit quietly and listen to some calming music.
Good luck and have a good day.

Yes, from tension. Usually from neck muscles. Worrying may cause your posture to change, thereby creating stress on muscles unaccustomed to bearing the weight of your head. You may be straining your eyes, as well. Try the relaxation method; 15 minutes a day for 30 days, and your level of stress will go down. It basically calls for deep breathing excercises for 15 mintues, lowering your blood pressure and relaxing your muscles, including scalp, neck, and back muscles. If you do this for 15 minutes, daily, for 30 days, you will become more calm, more relaxed, and less worried, angy, and agressive. Worrying can lead to depression, irritability, and lack of sleep. Lack of sleep can lead to a host of other medical problems. Whatever is making you worry, try to identify and deal with it. Look at some solutions. If it is general anxiety about world affairs; is it something that will directly affect you, or is it something that you can let go of the worry? Can you relax with a hobby, or excercise? If it is children, or college, or a decision to make, write out your options, pros and cons. Try to find peace in your decisions. But, relax, lie down in a dark room, and see if your headache goes away. Let your worries drift away from you. Read Paul Wison's Calm for Life, or any other of his books. They helped me, especially the books on how to calm yourself in an instant. Good luck. I suffer from a lot of headaches. If nothing works, please see a doctor, to ensure that it is not a physical ailment causing the headache. If that is ruled out, perhaps you can see a therapist. Good luck, and God Bless. :)

Of course, stress related headaches are very common.

Even if the stress your experiencing isn't causing the head ache directly it can cause other reactions that will bring on the head ache, like clenching your jaws or banging your head against a wall.

You can absolutely get headaches from worrying. It's a tension headache. I get them and sinus headaches all the time. To get rid of a tension headache and unknot my neck and shoulders I exercise to loosen up the muscles.

Yes you can. It's called Tension heaaches. Worrying is the mind's way of trying to think up the worst case scenerios for any given situation to help you be prepared for them. It's something that you have to have some control over. You have to tell you mind to stop it now. You'll be ok.
