I currently commute to work about 45 minutes and have city and school district taxes taken out of my check. Do I still have to file for city taxes or just school district taxes for where I live??

That depends on the law where you live. In many states, you can get credit on your taxes filed in the place of your residence for amounts paid at the place of your work.

If it's taken out of your check, you probably have to file something in the city where you work. You might get a credit on your taxes where you live for what you paid where you work, or might get part of what was withheld refunded to you - it depends on the law where you live.
