We have two cats and they are sisters. Both are about the most peculiar cats I have ever seen.
The first is a siamese looking cat. She loves to get close to fire. Not a good thing. Little pyro. No candles allowed in the house with her around. Luckily, our gas heater has a glass shield in front of it. I have seen her sitting in front of that thing more than once with here face practically pressed against that glass. She is nuts. She also loves shoes. I have seen her put her entire head into a freshly removed shoe. Probably a fetish thing. She also is not afraid of anything, especially our dogs. I once went outside and saw our red healer sitting on the walk with this cat rubbing her head against him. He looked up at me with a look that seemed to say, "This was not my idea!"
Her sister is worse, though. She is a calico and is very secretive. She also likes to spy on people. I have been in the kitchen and turned around and saw just the edge of her face looking around a corner at me. Just a little bit of the dark face and one green eye are looking at me. She is really peeping around the corner.
She is the master hunter of our cats, even though she is the smallest of our cats. Mice, rats, rabbits, snakes, lizards, birds, various insects. She hunts and kills them all. Actually, she likes to bring them inside alive and let them loose. Then she can chase them all day. The best she ever did was to somehow bring in one of our chickens alive. That had to be one of the funniest things I have ever seen. She somehow got it thru the cat door. The chicken was not hurt, just very, very upset. When she was younger, she would bring locusts into the house and let them go. 20 or 30 a day when there were lots of them outside. We had to sweep up a big pile of them every day.
She also used to bring sticks inside. We would have loved to seen how she navigated some of these thru the cat door. Sometimes sticks that were 2 -3 feet long. She must have dragged them thru but how did she keep the flap from coming down and catching them? She is also known from bringing in pecans, chicken feathers, and small pieces of trash.
Those two are crazy cats. They are 13 years old now and are still the most playful and healthy cats.

My roommate's cat is hilarious. She lies stretched out on the floor in front of the sofa, then claws at it, actually pulling herself along the edge of the sofa! She can go all the way around it. And if she catches anyone watching her, she immediately jumps up and pretends like she wasn't doing anything, almost like she was embarrassed to get caught.

My cat used to curl up so close to the radiator that he singed his whiskers and made them all bent and curly. He also used to watch the toilet flush, paw at my bath water and occasionally jump in (only to remember he hated water). When I was in the shower, he would slap the shower curtain and we'd have a little shower curtain battle. He was afraid of the vacuum cleaner and aluminum foil. He crashed into windows chasing birds and literally climbed the walls - just to name a few.

i miss my cat :(
he used to do back flips if you threw something over his head. He'd catch in while doing the back flip then attack it. He'd freak out if the wind was blowing the grass around. There was another cat around that liked to destroy carpet, you know make it all stringy, my cat would not go near it. He was terrified. I would have to pick him up and carry him over it. He liked to bite water if you left the tap on just enough to make a tiny stream. And he liked car rides
I stopped giving him his own water dish. he would not drink it. he liked sink/tub drippings, puddles, the dogs water, cups, fish bowls (he didnt care about the fish tho), anything that wasnt his

As strange as it sounds, it is a compliment to you. Your cat is showing you that he not only knows, but treasures your scent. That's how animal's bond, through scent. It's how kittens know their mothers and vice-versa. My 2 1/2 yr old kitty does the same. Sometimes, he'll even sleep in my dirty clothes hamper.
Basically, he is claiming you as family, and cat's are picky about how they bond with, so that is serious love.

My dogs hates Will Smith for some reason, so at the same time as The sparkling Prince of Bel-Air topic music comes on, he receives insane and barks and jumps on the television. He consistently needs his abdomen rubbed, and once you end, he bites your fingers till you commence back. at the same time as he's chuffed, he sneezes about 10 ten cases in a row

We had a cat that would whack and fetch those little toy bouncy balls that you can get in the supermarket vending machines. He also would bite his nails and bring the nail clippings to the dog. He was thoughtful...
