There are less internet cafes than there use to be because the Government decided to close those that where too close from schools. But near university you have lots of them because students like to go there to surf, play and sometimes sleeps there. They even have their meals delivered.

The price is usually around 2 and 3 yuans per hour. They are quite fast and have a lot of programs installed : msn, QQ ( a msn chat type ), games

Most internet cafes are biohazard area with a toxic mix of cigarette smoke and flatulence. Connection speeds have been really crap following the earthquake in Taiwan. 95% of people in these places use them for playing games but they are very cheap.

Internet cafes are everywhere in China. Big cities, small towns...they are everywhere. They are very popular places for teenagers, who love to gather there to play video games and chat online.

They are generally quite affordable, and you pay by the hour.
