You need at least 6 degrees, three of which must be PhDs. I'm nearly there now, only a few years to go!

It takes no degrees to be an atheist, however it should be noted that educated people do tend to question the existence of God more than less educated people. This is mostly due to less educated people being more easily convinced ie: they tend not to question. This is not a condemnation of belief but merely a statement of fact. It is what it is.

So you're saying that a lack of higher education is an indicator of religious belief? That's pretty negative towards the religious types...
J. Travis, (below): interesting. Is that as opposed to the 6 inches that are going to send Jim Bakker to Hell?

You do not need any college degrees to become an atheist. Many atheists do have multiple degrees but that has more to do with their passion for knowledge than any requirement of their nonfaith.

I never went to college- I think going to high school in Boulder counts as a masters in atheism though

Atheism is self proclaimed. You don't have to go to school to become atheist. It is just as declaring yourself Christian, Catholic, Alien, etc. Although you should learn all you can about atheism and the lack of religious belief before you decide that is your process of belief.

None. ones intrinsic beliefs are ones own. They, of course are subject to change as one continues to grow and learn. As for my self, I can neither prove or disprove the existence of god. There-for I am an agnostic as I do believe in a 'higher power'
