Jesus took our sins, so the Father could see us with His pure eyes. Once we come to the Father through way of His Son, the sins that were upon us... are now covered by one micro drop of His blood. We are washed clean, so the Father can look upon us through His eyes .
If we don't come to Jesus.. we don't leave this world... for we are not of this world but in this world... God can't look upon us nor hear us when we cry out. Because His eyes are too pure to look upon sin. Hab 1
God was here but the people rejected their Creator. So, God sent His begotten Son to earth, God in flesh, to walk among the people. Yet, most people didn't recognize God therefore reject Him once again. Their eyes were not open until that day Jesus went to the cross, as the lamb goes to slaughter. Jesus had to do this in order for any of us could come into the fold of God's family.
If Jesus was among us today, in the flesh, would you recognize Him, would you pick up your cross and follow Him; or would you be like so many during that period and say that Jesus was blaspheming God? Would you be the one to assist nailing His hands and feet to the cross?

Any sin means death.
The only way to atone (pay in full) for a persons sin is to have a substitute take their place.
But every one has sinned.
But God sent His only begotten Son Jesus into the world to like a perfect life. He took our place (on the cross) and died for our sins.
In the Old Testament, God use animal sacrifices as a means of delaying the penalty (and pointing out how sin would be permanently forgiven).
Now our debt has been paid, all we need to do is accept this gift and repent of our sins and follow the teachings of Jesus.
I believe that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three persons in one perfect accord.

He was the only man to live a sinless life. He was the only man deserving to know God, and benefit from God's greatness. He was the only man to ever walk the earth as pure good. Back in the old testament people sacrificed animals to atone for there sins. But Jesus was the pure good sacrifice that was needed to take on the weight of the entire worlds sin. Hope this helped. A follow-up corollary... 1. If the pain Jesus felt was for our sins, then some of the pain was for each person who has lived, because everyone is defined as a sinner in the Christian faith 2. Can a perfect God who runs the universe ever do anything in vain? No. 3. But some of those sinners will not be saved. Not everyone believes in Jesus as a saviour Therefore, some of Jesus's pain was for nothing. It was in vain. 4. [crickets chirping] So apparently, he must just have suffered for those who believe in him, right? So, as a non-believer, my sins did not make Jesus suffer any. So, I don't feel so bad about not being a Christian.

It is a sacrifice because he allowed his son to become human and suffered in our place. You wouldn't allow your child to suffer for someone Else's deeds but God did just that so it is a sacrifice in that sense because Jesus is perfect and never sinned yet he paid the ultimate price for our sins. He had to return to heaven to be with his father because he was never human in the first place, he only took the form of a human and be Born to the virgin marry so he could be sacrificed by those who was saving from internal hell.

Let's see....Jesus' suffering and dying was to free us from our sins, not just those who were alive then, but those who came before and after Jesus' life. Perhaps if you look at it as we were prisons of our sinful natures because once we sinned, there was no hope of ever being more than that, ever being freed from them. Jesus' suffering and dying gave us hope that there is something good and better after the pain.
It is a sacrifice simply because God had to watch his son suffer and die for us even though he knew full well what was to come after his death and that Jesus would be with him in Heaven for eternity. I know, for example, that I will eventually be with my son in heaven, but it would still be extremely painful to watch him suffer and die, even if I knew he was going to do it.
I hope that helps.

Dying for sin dated all the way back to the beginning when God discovered Adam and Eve knew they had sinned and covered themselves with fig leaves (which was man's first act of religion by the way). He realized that death due to sin could only be reversed by death in order to bring life through a PURE sacrifice. At the time, animal sacrifice would be sufficient, for the animals were pure in ancestry and innocent due to their lack of the capability to understand the concept of sin. So God killed a goat and made the BLOOD SACRIFICE with which man had to have his sins covered from that time forward. As sin progressively worsened and animal progeny became impure, plus the fact that the animals couldn't WILLINGLY die for our sins, God had to create a way for man to be able to absolve himself from his sins with God still able to intercede for him.No other man could've qualified as "pure" since Adam and Eve had brought a sin-curse into the world. Therefore, God sent His Son to die for our sins, overcome the grave and live in each of those who followed the revised plan of salvation to clothe ourselves in Christ and live a sanctified life as outlined in Acts 2:38.

In my opinion, it's a bunch of crap. First of all, Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph. How does that make God his father? Second, it's been proven that Jesus couldn't have been crucified on the cross. So who made him our sacrificial lamb? Just some anonymous jackass that wrote the bible that put all these thoughts into everybody's head. And yes, I do believe in God.

Thats a really good question ! Becuase if dying is the ultimate sacrifice, then that must mean life is more precious than being in heaven...so why would we all want to believe in him to get to heaven if life is more worth it? if that makes any sense..!
