I don't know exactly what you mean by making huge cuts in calories as this is relative to what you mean by huge, but you can't starve your body and expect to lose weight. If you only eat, say 800 calories a day and you wait long periods of time between eating, your body goes into starvation mode and holds on to calories and slows your metabolism. You would do better making moderate cuts in your calories and making sure that you eat small meals every 3-4 hours to keep your metabolism from slowing. Its great that you are cutting calories and keeping your water up, but you have to do more! The best thing you could do is strength training, which builds muscle, which burns fat and raises your metabolism. I have cut my calories, but I am never hungry because I make sure I eat something small at least every few hours. I have been weight training 3 times a week, allowing my muscles 48 hours to repair themselves and lost 6 pounds in the first week. By doing what you are doing, you will eventually lose weight, but it will most likely be water and muscle as a result of your body burning off the protein in your muscle to account for the drastic cut in calories. Yea..basically whn u cut down calories, it might work for a period of time. But afterwards, your body adapt to the low level of calories and in turn would save more energy by storing more amount of calories after every meal, more than usual (before your cuts), because they know that it is essential and you are lacking of it. Its the body's natural response. So you can instead eat lesser each meal, but increase the number of meals a day, and increase in physical activities in order to lose the extra calories. Increasing your activities, such as excercising, would increase your metabolism rate, so that the body would not store much calories in the end. However, you should cut down on carbohydrates and oily food. Best to have high intake of protein to stuff your stomach than carbs or fats as these tend to be stored easily, as the unwanted weights.

Most people who think that they cut calories are close to their original level and badly underestimating how many calories they eat. Exercise is always a good idea (and it keeps you busy so you are not snacking) but you might want to jot down a diary of what you are eating for a couple of days. I think when you check the calories the total would surprise you. Hang in there and keep trying and you will get results.

Try eating the extra "O" in loosing, the correct word only contains one! If you really want to lose weight, your caloric output has to be higher than your intake. Try eating a vegan diet; you can't possibly eat enough vegetables to gain weight. If you're not eating carbohydrates, fats, processed sugars and meat and dairy products, you'll be fine. Fish is okay and so are fruits and juices, as long as they're fresh and not out of a can. And get a cholesterol check before you push that heart rate up...you're a prime candidate for a heart attack, otherwise...

More is going in through the front than coming out the back.
Remember, for every pound you`ve put on vou`ve had to consume an extra 3500 calories than what your body needed.
1 calorie is defined as the energy needed to heat 1 litre of water by one degree. so say your looking to lose 20 lb, thats the equivilent energy to boil 700 litres of water.
As a very rough guide, you need to run about 5 metres to burn off 1 calorie, thats a 17.5 km of running for every pound you want to lose, on top of anything your doing already.
I am a 26 year old man, 6`3". I consume around 1800 calories a day, don`t drink or smoke, exercise regularly and am still overweight..
a pint of beer has 200 calories in.

Well you need to have a balanced die which it has to be salads, protein and no sugars or chocolates, or any fatnneing food.
Do drink a lot of water and excerise at least 3 times a week , at leats 1 hour cardio, jogging or stairmaster are the best, you need to speed up your metabolism in order for you to lose weight

Some times it takes a while. If you are burning more calories than you are taking in you will eventually lose the weight. When you work out you gain muscle and burn fat. You have to work out to burn the fat to lose the weight, but remember, muscle weighs more than fat so sometimes your lost inches may not show up on the scale.

I'm guessing that you have probably dropped your calories too low too rapidly and now the body is in starvation mode. you are going to have to "reset" your metabolism. this is done by increasing your calories back to maintenance levels, keeping them at that level for several weeks then slowly reducing them again.
