men and women have different physical builds.
A women has reproductive organs so they have a smaller liver. the liver is what processes the alcohol-the longer it is in your bloodstream, the drunker you get.
Also women tend to weigh less which also contributes to how fast you get drunk.

Drinking alcohol affects men and women (boys and girls) in exactly the same way. The two things that influence your reaction to alcohol are your weight and whether or not you are accustomed to drinking. Your sex does not affect the way you react. A man and a woman with the same weight and the same drinking experiences will react to alcohol in exactly the same way (including how fast they become drunk). This is why there is only one sobriety test given by the police. If men and women reacted differently, there would need to be 2 standards used by the police. If you have any doubts about this, try contacting MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) at www.madd.org

alcohol is not human and therefore has no thought process. The reason it is said that women get drunk faster than guys is that they are typically smaller in size. alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream at a rate determined by size and food in the stomach, not on a persons sex

Men and women have different physical builds.
In case of men, the alcohol is absorbed into their body, which causes them to get drunk slowly. In women, the alcohol is absorbed immediately, which causes women to get drunk much faster.
As a thumb rule, if you don't want to get drunk, sip your drink instead of drinking it. The slower you consume alcohol, the more alert you remain
