This is utter rubbish!
This is definitely someone else's fantasy.
I am and have been a Scientologist for 36 years and there is no way this will ever become a fact. There is also no way that any one in Scientology no matter how high their rank would have this intention for any member of the Scientology Church regardless of their degree of "celebrity."
No one is "worshipped" in the religion of Scientology. It is not that kind of religion.
It's complete fantasy a total "invention"...... hilarious!!!

"The religion's founder, American science fiction writer L Ron Hubbard, claimed that extra terrestrial beings were sent to planet Earth by intergalactic ruler Xenu, who then blew up the aliens with hydrogen bombs in a volcano".

Possibly, but not very likely on the same scale. It all boils down to interpretation. A "faith" built on what a Sci-FI writer has written!? What a great way to sell books! Genius! Christ-like Cruise....never. People who believe that should take a look inside themselves and do an inventory of their very soul.

Yeah, I read that one this morning; I nearly spit out my latte.

I think Jesus said it best, as quoted at Matthew 24:

23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.
26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

So far, Tom Cruise's "signs and wonders" are relegated to jumping on sofas and making bad films, but who knows ... his ego might become so enormously huge after being told he's the messiah that he'll do something REALLY notable. <>

They are seriously deceived. Tom Cruise is just a man, like any other. He happens to be rather popular due to his career path. But he puts his pants on one leg at a time just like you. He believes things that aren't true, as do all Scientologists. You can believe the grass is purple with all your heart and still be wrong!

Gee, I really thought Travolta would win it by a nose.

In all seriousness though, nothing makes Scientology any more or less valid than any other religion. While it's not exactly my cup of tea, I could say the same for pretty much every other organised religion out there. If they want to proclaim the Couch Pouncer as messiah, then who are we to argue...

Yeah, right. John Lennon said that The Beatles were more popular than Jesus, and look what happened over that. Tom Cruise is a nutcase, and scientology is a joke.

Hey let the freaks do their thing. They are practicing a false religion anyway. And if they want to crucify him, that saves a lot of us from ever suffering through another one of his movies.

after calling scientology a sci-fi cult, the guy who wrote that article will probably be kidnapped by tomorrow night and tortured until he publicly recants his statement.

Yeah, I read all about that. I've been saying it... I've been saying it here for months now... Scientology is a loopy cult!
